    1. Be sure to check out the character interview I had with Julian over at Storybook Escape Forsaken Harbor picks up almost immediately where Phantom Universe left off Readers are thrust back into Summer s story and a future world filled with danger and intrigue Summer s life becomes complex and perilous when Julian enters the mix, and he helps Summer better understand her power and who she is while still trying to escape the clutches of The Secret Clock Society The story is fast paced and intense, [...]

    2. Sara s review posted on whatthecatread.wordpressMurr May I just say that I am absolutely in love with this series Kreitzer s books are truly a joy to read Forsaken Harbor holds the same amount of mystery, suspense, romance, and action as the first book in the series did The characters have continued to grow and the world in which the story takes place is brilliantly well written and rich in imagery It s definitely a book which will appeal to readers of all ages. The first thing I was looking for [...]

    3. This book definitely suffered from second in a series suckitis I LOVED the first book Summer consistently grew as a character overcoming years of abuse What bothered me so much in this book is that I felt like Summer see sawed between progress and backsliding in a really unsatisfying way It felt like every other page she would declare to herself that she was done being afraid and letting others fight her battles and how liberating it was to talk only for her in the very next paragraph to quake i [...]

    4. Politics, romance, and adventure fill the pages of Laura Kreitzer s Forsaken Harbor, the second book in her Summer Chronicles series. The story picks up only two hours after the ending of Phantom Universe, the series first novel, and is packed with action Summer, Gage, Landon, and the rest of her entourage are either on the move or getting into trouble throughout the story Various governments and political organizations would like to use Summer to their advantage and the politics of the various f [...]

    5. Summer s story continues in Forsaken Harbor and this time it sets off at a wild pace From the very beginning, Kreitzer throws her characters into the fray and there isn t a moment to breathe Summer, Gage and the rest of the crew all make an appearance in this installment I think thought that they were vivid than ever However the reader is also introduced in depth to a new character named Julian Being another Society experiment, Julian adds a very different twist to the book I won t spoil, but [...]

    6. Please check out Electrifying Reviews for reviews like this, plus giveaways, interviews, and I really enjoyed Phantom Universe, the first book in the Summer Chronicles when I read it last year, and I was eager to get my hands on Forsaken Harbor soon after I finished However, as the release date continued to get pushed back, I forgot about Phantom Universe, and my excitement for the next book went down This carried across when I actually started to read Forsaken Harbor. It s not that I still did [...]

    7. Laura Kreitzer has become one of my favorite authors because of her ability to tell an amazing story When I got the opportunity to read this next book in her second series, I jumped at the chance And I wasn t disappointed.Summer has experienced unimaginable horrors in her life as a slave, but now that she s finally found her voice, nothing will ever be the same again. The Secret Clock Society will stop at nothing to retrieve Summer again and she has to find a way to beat them With the help of her [...]

    8. Summer s story begins right where Phantom Universe ends and you re immediately thrown into non stop twists and turns Forsaken Harbor definitely outshines Phantom Universe in every way Being able to live through Summer s growth into the person she has become in the second novel was just amazing There s something about Summer that makes you want to stick with her through everything and help her fight her battles along the way.The one thing I really enjoyed about Forsaken Harbor was the growth of e [...]

    9. AhhhhBook two in The Summer Chronicles In my opinion it TOTALLY surpasses book one.Summer has her voice and man the girl sure as all uses it I don t want to be around her when she s mador for that matter armed I can t get over how much action this book has packed into it.Wholly Boogers Hover cars crashMurders Buildings being blown upd then some I won t even go into the Beach sceneI mean REALLYOMG Summer s character comes into her own in this booke s defining her feelings for Gage, she at a lost [...]

    10. Forsaken Harbor is a STELLAR follow up to Phantom Universe in the Summer Chronicles Laura Kreitzer does not dissapoint from page one to page 815 you can t put Summer s story down and then there are no pages to turn and you have a total melt down knowing that you have to wait for part three until the end of this year Laura Kreitzer picks up Summer s story right from where we left off in New York Immediatley bringing to light wheather or not Jaden is on Summer s side or the Societies side I adore [...]

    11. Worst thing about finishing this book is the next one isn t available yet I don t normally like future settings, but I enjoy this authors other books so I had to give it a shot, and has been well worth it

    12. Book two is even better than book one It kept me riveted from the first page Julian is an amazing character and seeing Summer continue to grow in character and strength is mesmerizing I am anxiously awaiting book three.
