Menna Gallie writes what she knows Ireland just as the troubles are kicking off, miners strikes, small mines, academic wives off on holidays This is the latter, a commentary on herself and, as usual with her, an examination of female sexuality Mostly not politics, this time, unless they be sexual politics.I didn t enjoy it as much as her other books it seems very slight and frivolous beside them but her dialogue is always fun and rings true, and she has some great descriptions.
