    1. I absolutely love this book There s a good range of styles on display, and it s pretty broad as far as the princesses go There s even a piece with Kida I d just love to see an updated version of this book It was published in 2009, and since then we ve added Rapunzel, Anna, Elsa, and Moana.

    2. More pictures on parkablogs This book is on fan art than concept art That said, you won t see any sketches from original Disney artists The illustrations of princess are based on the artists interpretation I don t recognise the names of any artists other than Glen Keane, who wrote the introduction. The princesses included are Snow White, Tiger Lily, Belle, Ariel, Pocahontas, Mulan, Aurora, Jasmine, Cinderella and even the newest Princess Tiana from The Princess and the Frog. The variety of style [...]

    3. I thought this was a fabulous book of concept and fan type art I never do this although I talk about it a lot , but I bought a second copy so I could remove some of the pictures and put them out in my house.I know I feel a little bad about cutting up a book On the other hand and you know that Sookie Stackhouse says there s always another hand , most of these renditions are not for sale anywhere Since I spent all day Saturday tearing the internet apart looking for them, I should know.I especially [...]

    4. Because who said that a girl can t bring about her own happily ever after Beautiful reimagings of the iconic Disney Princesses characters we know and love from 2009, so before the crazy Buzzfeed article trend Great if you re looking for a simple but universal coffee table book

    5. A Princess is then just a pretty face, she is as brave as a lion, as clever as a fox, and as pure as snow A Princess is all heart and loves unconditionally and is loved so in return Many thousands of little girls around the world have grown up with the wish to become a princess But being a Princess is not just having a gown, crown and castle, it is every little girl who has ever made a wish and believes in magic.Disney has been creating Princess since 1937 when the very first Princess, Snow Whi [...]

    6. Amazing and beautiful artwork Lingered over the pages, read about the artists, wondered where to find the prints of Dorota Kotarba Mendez, Ed Irizarry, and Enrique Pita, who created Alphonse Mucha inspired princesses.

    7. There were some truly lovely pieces of art interpretations in this book but overall, it wasn t much different than looking at fan works on DeviantArt.

    8. Visit my blog to see several examples of the gorgeous art lying within this book This is the second art book I ve reviewed, the first also being from Disney, TALE AS OLD AS TIME THE ART AND MAKING OF BEAUTY AND THE BEAST by Charles Solmon Check it out While TAOAT was an in depth look at the making of one of my favorite Disney movies and a wealth of information, THE ART OF THE DISNEY PRINCESS is of a straight forward art book, full of character illustrations across various medium The book opens [...]

    9. I went through the book and tallied up the numbers. There are19 Ariel13 Jasmine9 Belle5 MulanFIFTY TWO SNOW WHITE25 Aurora20 Cinderella5 Pocahontas1 Kida1 Tiger Lilly1 Tiana2 of than one princess on a page1 of DisneylandMy main criticism is that there are TOO MANY SNOW WHITE pictures I love her, and she does carry a charm, but there are so many pictures of her, where there could be a couple pictures of Pocahontas or Tiana or Mulan Maybe it was because Snow White is on the cover and the endpaper [...]

    10. It s just a beautiful, beautiful book full of the concept art of Disney princesses My sister bought it from Disneyland two years ago, and I only really borrowed it now because I was browsing her shelf I ended up poring over each page, staring and feeling awestruck at the talent the book offered Different mediums of art were used to portray interpretations of each Disney princess, and some ladies not often included on the pantheon of Disney royalty were included, which I appreciated Some works in [...]

    11. I got this book for Christmas today and obviously just looked through it throughout the day, although it is mostly pictures, so finished in a day is not really that impressive I will admit that I love Disney and the princesses and have no artistic ability whatsoever so seeing different artists interpretations of something so classic can be risky, but I thought it was so interesting to see how people make the characters their own I really enjoyed reading about why some of the artists created the [...]

    12. A really interesting twist on the typical Disney art book, one that compiles a series of artist interpretations and re imaginings of various Disney animated movies It s like an experiment in fandom, or something that speaks to the universality of Disney movies and animation, and I dig it There s a real diversity to the art they speak of different cultures, mediums, and attitudes, so much so that it s easy to find something you like I wasn t a huge fan of ALL the pieces, and it s not the sort of [...]

    13. What a fun, lovely homage The art included in this book is varied in its media and styles, with inspirations ranging from Mucha to manga to Madame de Pompadour, and much Some of the pieces are faithful renditions of the characters, while other are unusual reimaginings A few mediocre works slipped in one photograph seems especially out of place you will know it when you see it but for the most part it is a beautiful and rich collection I loved it, and this book has a permanent place on my coffee [...]

    14. Natalie and I looked at all the art in this book, though it was a little bit of a long sitting for her 3.5 I liked seeing the different interpretations of the princesses, and it would be fun to look at again with Natalie or my high school students Some of the art I d readily use as artwork in my home I would have explored finding prints, but my sister really needed to get it back to her library.

    15. Gorgeous drawings of the Disney princesses up to Tiana, the book was published before Tangled or Brave were released This isn t concept art from the movies It s like fan art by professional artists Each gives their own take on their favorite princesses, some are literal representations and others like the cover are abstract There are so many gorgeous interpretations and the the pages are nice and glossy

    16. A fun coffee table book featuring various artists interpretations of mainly the most well known Disney princesses, occasionally punctuated by little blurbs from said artists, talking about the influence that Disney princesses have had on their art Unfortunately, I have already seen much of this art online.Three Stars Not bad, but not fantastic either I ll still recommend it, if I think that person might like it than me.

    17. This was beautiful The drawings are so pretty, and I love how every artist made the princess their own There was a lot of Snow White and Sleeping Beauty, but there were other Princesses that made it into the book I highly suggest picking it up sometime and looking through it if you want something easy and fun The book is just pictures, so it shouldn t take you long to read It made my blah day, less blah.

    18. This is the fairest coffee table book of them all.I d actually give this book a 3.5 The introduction by Glen Keane was beautiful It was an interesting glimpse into the life of an illustrator and it was very nostalgic There are some beautiful works of art, some okay, and a few where I didn t know what to make of them.

    19. Okay, my favorite is the one where Prince Philip is under the sleeping spell and Aurora in pants and boots, with a sword breaks the spell Also, there s one where the Beast is a transformer and Belle is like a sci fi lady in a yellow jumpsuit Awesome.I would not be opposed to having some of these hanging on my walls.

    20. This isn t truly a book that one reads It s a stunning set of artwork, from the very modern to the classic style of painting, drawing, creating with craft sticks or anything else you can think of Dozens of renditions of the Disney Princesses are included, and it s really just lovely Great coffee table book for those that love Disney.

    21. I really liked some of the art I liked some of the traditional pieces that were painted and sketched better than the straight digital art One of my favorites was the pencil digital art of the princess dress patterns with their year on the side I would wear any one of those dresses.

    22. i m not a particularly princess y girl, but i did truly love some of these reimaginings of the traditional disney princess, especially the alphonse mucha inspired set can t go wrong with art noveau, i always say.

    23. Picked this up in Disneyland after flipping through it Not much to read, but then reading s not the point I enjoyed seeing some fresh takes on well loved characters and themes, there is some inspiring stuff in there.

    24. absolutely beautiful art in the book My ONLY issue was that they don t tell you which country each artist is fromyou have to google it yourself to find out That was a bit annoying, but overall a very inspiring book for and artist, or disney enthusiast.

    25. The Art of the Disney Princess was absolutely beautiful All of the pieces were very well done and the artist statements were very interesting I would recommend this to anyone interested in the Disney Princesses.

    26. I like to think of these art of books as picture books for adults And there are some really pretty pictures in this book However, in the age of image searches and DeviantArt, it s not exactly a one of a kind find.

    27. The art in here is absolutely gorgeous and I love the creativity shown I am half tempted to buy a copy so I can pull out my favorites to frame, honestly Beautiful Check out some of the art here parkablogs content book re

    28. It should be no surprise that the majority of the featured artist choose Snow White as their subject She is Disney s first Princess, and without her, the rest would not have been possible. This is a child friendly gift and great for fans of Disney animation and its iconic Princesses.

    29. This book is simply gorgeous Definitely a must have for Disney Princess fans of all ages The art work is amazing it really deserves at least 10 stars
