1 thought on “Witchblade Origins, Volume 2

    1. on the bright side Sara wasn t half naked the ENTIRE time That s progress oh, I really don t like Jake

    2. Solely based on the story I would ve only given it 3 stars, simply because the first few episodes or issues left me wanting The building mystery and suspense surrounding the Witchblade and the Microwave killer felt like it was going to lead to action only to fall a bit short for me Although, I did enjoy the twist involving the characters Bruce and Danette and how they tied into the story I would have liked to have seen the final confrontation battle between Danette and Sara be kick ass The la [...]

    3. Compare to the first volume this was awesome I felt really intrigue by the whole storyline, I have a lot of questions and they have been answering them through all the book.sThe art is as always amazing, and honestly is my favorite one talking about it The story abouy her father and all the art in that volume was just wow The whole plot with Lisa, Bruce and the modeling couch was just amazing I wasn t expecting that twist and it was really great developed Also we get to meet Jackie Stacado And h [...]

    4. Compared to the first volume, this was a disappointment The film noir is lessened which is what I loved about the first volume There s a cross over that you re forced to buy the other book to even see, and it s entirely pointless in this book Story lines end far too quickly and the new one that this ends on a cliffhanger isn t that intriguing for me Unless you want to go through much of the series, stick with the first volume.

    5. the second installment of the classic witchblade series finds sara having trouble controlling the witchblade and the microwave murderer still on the loose she is forced to confront a former bearer gone bad of the witchblade in an attempt at finding out the truth there is also some cameos and hints at cool stuff to come as the darkness s jackie estacado makes some entrances for some cross over issues all in all a very good graphic novel collectionn t wait for volume three

    6. Volume 1 had it right Volume 2 is pretty weak to stand on its own Unlike the first collection of issues, this one had no single overarching plot, no strong plot lines, and no conclusion The pulp noir feeling style prevalent in the first volume is non existent here The are multiple plot lines going on in this collection and none of them end satisfactorily in any way basically making sure that you if you want to stop, stop at volume 1, otherwise continue to volume 3.

    7. The anatomy is outrageous The coloring is gorgeous The plot is intricate And the dialog or monologue is trite to the point of being laughable This is great lightweight summer reading for when you re at home with the flu or sipping mint juleps on the back porch But like so many 90 s comics, it falls short of being great literature.

    8. The writing in these issues seemed a little disjointed I don t know if it s related to the introduction of another of Top Cow s series during this run of issues, but things seemed to jump around a lot.
