1 thought on “Teen Titans, Vol. 11: Deathtrap

    1. Meh.I m not sure why this is billed as purely a Teen Titans book It s actually a minor crossover between three titles Teen Titans, Titans the classic Teen Titans in their adult roles , and Vigilante Now, I knew nothing about Vigilante going in, and as it turns out, I didn t really need to The character, or at least this version of him, is self explanatory And so is the story Jericho has gone rogue Again And that s all you need to know Being a crossover, the quality is choppy I couldn t call any [...]

    2. This continues the ongoing saga of the Titans as they regroup in the wake of Infinite Crisis No Red Robin, no Superboy, no Kid Flash, no problem Wonder Girl has Aquagirl, Bombshell and Static to add to the roster Miss Martian, Blue Beetle, Kid Eternity and a now powerless Eddie Bloomberg formerly Red Devil They have numbers now they need teamwork I enjoyed this look at the new team on a dangerous mission that all of them will not survive.

    3. Deathtrap is a good example of the problems that were very common through out this era of Titans The premise is built on the very overused Titans Traitor storyline with a very violent and lackluster execution, especially disappointing given it s co written by New Teen Titans writer Marv Wolfman Also disappointing is the evil TItan here is Jericho who DC barely brought back and was barely used until this mess wasting the potential of a mute superhero and barely had any positive interactions with [...]

    4. A very lackluster book What gets hyped as a crossover event between Teen Titans, Titans, and Vigilante was a jumbled mess than event As with most crossovers, inconsistencies abound And sometimes it was a simple as the dead cop at the end of one issue didn t have a cap and uniform on, but in the next issue he did Vigilante was an interesting character, but not to the point where I felt compelled to go searching for issues of his book I guess the other thing about this collection was how out of p [...]

    5. Not bad Some nice graphics I particularly liked the use of colour and a decent story linee Titans are under attack from their former team mate Jerico who is targeting both them and various bystanders to get their attention Both the Titans and the teen Titans are trying for damage control but they are confused by the fact that someone else is hunting JericoThe story is pretty good and the characters are mostly well used, I really think they could have ditched the crime connection it was irrelevan [...]

    6. I wanted to like this book I really like the team of Teen Titans that formed under Wonder Girl s leadership, but this book was flawed from the beginning and never tried to develop the characters or the team very much The story is weak and poorly constructed Very little of this book makes sense and the plotting is clunky The art could have been better as well.I love these characters They deserved better.

    7. While some may view two stars as slightly harsh, bare in mind that I don t like the Teen Titans, especially this line up I mean, how can you have the Teen Titans without Robin, Kid Flash and preferably Superboy The only one I actually like is Ravager and even she doesn t appear until halfway through the book It was just kind of boring with slightly bland characters But on the upside, at least nobody uttered the phrase Titans Together , thankfully.

    8. The Jericho storyline is finally brought to a conclusion in this book The plot jumps about a bit, but thats probably because of the different comics involved An ok story, seems to be filler than anything.

    9. There s way too little Teen Titans for this to bear the Teen Titans brand With its focus on Jericho, it s in the milleu of the previous Titans The story is fuzzy at times as it jumps from book to book, but overall OK.

    10. Loved the artwork Interesting plot but at times too many characters to keep track of and to try and follow all the plot threads I do wonder though, if not being up to date with this series did impact on that.

    11. A stupid bloodbath showcasing Jericho His incredibly drawn out plan to assassinate the Titans yields a lot of dead bodies yet his former team mates still want to believe there s some good left in him It ran four issues too long.

    12. Last 2 chapters gave it the fourth star A good ending But overall I did not care for this one too much.

    13. Who is the traitor You ll find out if you read this DEven I couldn t think of the culpritXDD And I read many mystery
