I was debating whether to give this fun mystery 4 or 5 stars When I found myself thinking back on several of the clever lines in the book and smiling to myself, I knew it was a 5 I read this lighthearted mystery over two evenings, because I was so caught up in the fast paced adventure that there was never a point at which I wanted to put it down Samantha Kidd is a great character, so I m glad it s the start of a series It reminded me of Susan Kandel s mystery series fun characters and a bit of f [...]

    4. Samantha Kidd leaves her sixty hour a week job as a buyer for a major New York store to work as a trend specialist for a store in her old home town Her first day on the job, things start going wrong Within minutes, she sees her new boss lying dead in an elevator In a light mystery like this, the author has to walk a fine line between trivializing death and loss, and writing humor around it rather than about it Samantha s reaction to her boss s death is human, appropriate for the level of connect [...]

    5. Humor abounds in this delightful book, the first in this series Samantha Kidd was a shoe buyer but is now turning her eye towards becoming a trend specialist Moving to her old hometown and starting a new job is all part of her career plan Finding the body of the man who hired her and was to be her boss wasn t She becomes the prime suspect in his murder because she has no proof that he really hired her and the store has no paperwork either With the help of shoe designer, Nick Taylor she starts to [...]

Once you start this roller coaster of a book, you have to finish it in one sitting Surprise ending is definitely not expected I have read many books by the author Diane Vallere from her other series, but had not had the chance until now to read a book from the Samantha Kidd series Wow am I glad I did This is a fun series with really crazy, quirky characters Poor Samantha left a high end fashion job in the city to move back to her home town and start over with less stress She was hired by Patrick [...]

    12. This is the first Siane Vallere book I have read, but it will NOT be the last I found myself not wanting to put this book down, but that little thing called a JOB, got in the way of reading this book in one sitting It kept me on my toes the whole time Just when I thought I had it all figured out, that theory was thrown out the window, only to think I had it figured out again and again Very much looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the series as well as other Diane Vallere books.Gr [...]

    14. Designer Dirty Laundry is amazing I was hooked from the first sentence and had to read Designer Dirty Laundry in one day, because I couldn t put it down It s that good Samantha is having such a bad day, especially when it was supposed to be such a wonderful day the first day of her Starting Over Plan When she arrived at Tradava to start her new job as Trend Specialist, instead of reporting to Patrick fashion icon, her new boss, and hopefully her future mentor , Samantha and Nick Taylor find Patr [...]

    15. This book is a book in 3 parts A good start, then Agatha Christy s ghost writes the middle with lots of red herrings and everyone possibly being guilty and then a final ending part which is good.I have erred on the generous side for giving a grade because I especially liked the purple fedora.

    16. I m a fan of Vallere s Mad for Mod series but I may be an even bigger fan of this series This is the first book of the series and I really enjoyed it It has the characteristics of a cozy mystery but to me, it has a little bit style and polish than some other series, it feels a bit contemporary No crafts, no homemade jelly, no candlemaking classes Lots of fashion and gorgeous shoes.Samantha Kidd has quit her job as the shoe buyer for a New York department store to move back to her home town and [...]

    17. A new series I found in the sale section Samantha Kidd goes back home to help her parents pack up and move to somewhere warm Whilst there she meets the head of fashion for a local department store who offers her a job as the trends office She quits her high power buying job on NYC , buys her parents house and moves home to start her new job On her first day she reports bright and early and finds her new boss dead in the elevator An EMT comes and takes his body away staring he had called in chest [...]

    18. This was a tough read for me for two reasons 1 I m not that into fashion, so I think a lot of the content and appeal was lost on me 2 Samantha Kidd could just not stay out of trouble and it was getting frustrating I do have to admit that other than a few grammar errors I found, the book was written quite well As far as the potential love interests go, I was always leery of Nick and wanted her to get with Eddie so badly view spoiler In the end, she didn t end up with either They left hints that s [...]

    19. I received a copy of Designer Dirty Laundry by Diane Vallere in exchange for an honest review.Ah, a good chick lit mystery that involves lots of fun fashion my kind of book And I even share a name with the heroine that has to be a good sign, right Designer Dirty Laundry is a fast paced book that kept me entertained with mystery, drama, fashion, and romance throughout Samantha is such a fun heroine, a woman who stumbles upon a mystery when all she is trying to do is make a few changes in her life [...]

    20. This novel was part of the Style and Error Boxed Set, along with a related short story, Just Kidding _Designer Dirty Laundry_ was very silly and lots of it didn t make sense I enjoy Diane Vallere s style of writing for pure escapist fiction, but this one was just too dumb, with a protagonist who acted idiotic She was supposed to be a style maven, yet constantly ate fattening junk food and had trashy housekeeping habits Somehow she managed to have handsome men attracted to her, even though she ha [...]

    21. Samantha Kidd moves from New York back to her small home town to take a new job in the leading department store When she arrives for her first day of work, she finds her boss dead, and no one else has ever heard of her Since his corpse has disappeared, the police and the store alike think she s crazy or, worse, criminal She has some help an old high school classmate works at the store, and a hunky shoe designer she knew in New York is on hand for some reason but she has one worst enemy herself S [...]

    22. Diane Vallere definetely knows her fashion and can write a killer book as well Hard to put down, you want to know who dunnit Although I did wish that the main character did not always feel like she was going to faint, I did enjoy her and her talk of fashion, colour, texture and fabric I would recommend this book as a read Her descriptions of surroundings and what the main character sees, puts you in the fashion picture and also gives you a good murder mystery Diane Vallere you re stylin Thanks to [...]

    23. I loved Designer Dirty Laundry Samantha Kidd is trying to figure out exactly who she is Where is her life heading What will truly make her happy Little did she know while trying to figure all this out, she d be a major suspect in a murder The characters feel very real and relatable Vallere has a talent for keeping her readers guessing till the very end I can t wait to read Buyer Beware.

    24. This was a fun read The mystery starts right away when Samantha Kidd reports for her new job as a trend specialist at Tradava, having been hired in a strange coincidental meeting with her new boss and never having set foot inside the building of the company Now there is a missing body and she is a suspect Add her unusual co workers, her strange ways of proving herself innocent, and this book will keep you entertained Be prepared for twists and turns throughout.

    25. What a lot of fun Samantha Kidd poses the eternal questiion can you go home again She tries, and it almost costs her her life Vallere is obviously a fashion insider Her characters ring true in their settings and I want some of those shoes This is one book that keeps you interested and smiling the entire time I m looking forward to the next offering of Style and Error
