I picked this up on a whim from the library based solely on its amusingly English title I wasn t expecting much to begin with, but was pleasantly surprised Normally I find art theory and criticism books to be insufferable, but this one was informative, thought provoking, and unique I don t think anybody cares to hear me recap all that makes English art distinctively English, so I ll just say this go to the library, check out a random book with a funny title, and read it.
