    1. I enjoyed the format of this book with photos, smaller pages, quotes I feel it is better appreciated if you already know some information about Anne Frank and her life A moving book that helps us to remember the horrible effects of intolerance towards other people.

    2. I loved the format of this it felt like walking through the house museum Pictures and reproductions of diary pages and memorabilia intersperse background details and a timeline of the family s time in the Secret Annex It s a quick but moving read and provides useful context for anyone who hasn t read the diary in a while now I m ready for a reread.

    3. This book was styled in a journal format, helping to bring us closer to Anne s life and perspective during her years in the Secret Annexe Seeing all of the photos from the cover of her journals to her father in the empty Annexe after the war was extremely moving I only wish that the handwritten journal pages reproduced in the book were included with a translation.

    4. An excellent timeline of Anne s life in the wider context of what was happening in the outside world at each point in time This brings her creativity and intellect into focus rather than just her tragic fate.

    5. Moving to read, and captivating to see the utter strength of the Anne s who had to endure this horrific war Incomprehensible to truly understand what the victims of world war 2 endured.
