    1. LGBTQ Space Pirates SciFi Without Any Parrots or Peglegs The Terran Privateer, is a hamfisted, pedestrian, banal, preachy eBook, that gratuitously makes many one dimensional characters gay or sexually deviant, in order to promote a PC agenda.Storyline Earth in the near future has explored the solar system and nearby star systems A benevolent, though condescending alien race, conquers Earth A prototype warship, captained by a determined mistress she prefers bondage , manned by a heavily gay crew, [...]

    2. Good space opera It kept me turning the pages Good characters, a good plot, and a satisfying ending The pacing is good One thing that helps the story move along the drives for the spaceships are inertialess, so they accelerate, decelerate, and maneuver on a dime.Typos, however, especially missing words and some added words, diminish the total enjoyment a little Between the typos and some pronoun fuzzy sentences, I had to read than one sentence several times to make sure I had grokked the meanin [...]

    3. 3.5 StartsThe staging and characters are interesting but the author was unable to give a sense of true suspense With a few exceptions, the turns in the plot were quite predictable even the end and some of the conveniences of their circumstances had me roll my eyes Still, I enjoyed most of it as I liked the characters and setting well enough More detailed Spoilers below The setup is good It isn t the most original Earth is overtaken by an invading force with a lone ship being mankind s last hope [...]

    4. This is a good and entertaining story I wasn t expecting less from Glynn However, problems are often solved by favorable miraculous circumstances and not by the efforts of the protagonist and crew While this lets the story progress smoothly, it somewhat diminishes their efforts and makes you roll your eyes Further, when neutral parties are confronted with the right thing to do, they just magically side with our heroes These patterns could be found in the Starship s Mage series too, although not [...]

    5. What a great readAnother great start to what I am sure will be a interesting series of books Recommend if you are looking for a interesting series.

    6. I was trying to find a book on KU in the sci fi space opera genre, with a female lead character I found book three in this series and went to get it In my haste, I purchased the book at the regular price rather than on KU The damn buttons on the screen of my phone are a tiny fraction of an inch apart Having purchased book 3, I decided to check whether book 1 was on KU I like to start reading series tales at the beginning It was I bought it, correctly, on KU So glad I did.Highlights Aliens conque [...]

    7. I m just enjoying the heck out of this new series by an author I already like Addictive Aliens Empires in conflict SPACE PIRACY Liberating slaves Women in milSF What s not to like here Edited to add I would describe the quality of the writing here as action adventure, there s a lot of action and a little concentration on military hardware and mass deaths than I really like but it s really exciting Another reviewer mentions that there are gay characters and rape in the book this is true, as in r [...]

    8. Read This Series If you Love Good Space Opera, then this is a MUST Read I m Hooked, I ve been reading Sci fi, Fantasy and Sword and Sorcery for over Forty Years, yes I m an Old Man lol But Few Authors made me want to continue reading of their work, as those I ve found on for my Kindle It s Great to have something Capture and Keep my Attention for than a half hour I m a Multiple Stroke survivor and also have PTSD which makes it very hard for me to Concentrate on anything for long periods of ti [...]

    9. I m not much of a reader Came across this book in audible and truly enjoyed it Did get annoying with all the clicking noises and repeatedly saying the same things to get their point across But would definitely recommend I m not much of a reader Came across this book in audible and truly enjoyed it Did get annoying with all the clicking noises and repeatedly saying the same things to get their point across But would definitely recommend.

    11. I would have given it another star, but I didn t care for the profanity Story line is very interesting A sort of combo of Firefly and Star Trek, it is unique and very much it s own thing Awesome space opera

    12. A good readI enjoyed this book it was a good read I hope the rest are as good in the series I enjoyed it

    13. I picked this up for free using a borrow under the Kindle Unlimited program vs its normal price of 2.99 I certainly received than 2.99 worth of entertainment value The book did start off a little slow for me as there are several species of aliens with strange names that took a while to sort out but, after I did, the story picked up the pace and action The future technologies weren t too far off the chart as you could wrap your arms around it without crying foul, and the author did a good job of [...]

    14. you get hooked fastThere where times it would bog down a bit, but the action pulled it thru. When you hit a page or so where you could say to yourself XYZ incoming in 5 seconds alert At least they where aware the segment was super predictable, because a character would comment you know it s a trap, then they would pull it off with and say I Told You So My main complaint was it needed a glossary so you didn t have to just well it means somethingbut not big enough to raise a missy fit over My son a [...]

    15. This is an Honor Harrington On Basilisk Station knock off and not a bad one Picked up a few Weber references, the most obvious being the Weber Protocol mentioned in the book Captain Annette Bond, turned pariah, then through circumstances given command of the newest and most powerful ship in earth s fleet must abandon earth when aliens attack and take over Her mission changes become an intergalactic privateer, build a base of power, return to earth and kick the aliens out What follows stretches t [...]

    16. Billed as a Space Opera , this is Sci F of the Star Wars genera Right from the beginning, you kind of figure out where it s going and what s going to happen It reminds me of Jack Campbell s books An overwhelming alien force attaches the world Our last hope is to give the best and last of our spacecrafts a Letter of Marque It s mission is to destroy, harass and steal the enemy s technology and find a way to drive them from earth Arrr Matey We be pirates now. After I got past the made up techno stu [...]

    17. Great stuff Thanks Glynn Stewart for this story I really enjoyed this Since i have to say twenty words, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nineI made a kale, banana, pineapple, and mango smoothie It s different but it doesn t taste bad There s some in the fridge if you want

    18. A very good start of the series with an intriguing and compelling main character I was waiting for Annie to introduce herself as Bond, Annie Bond.I love the fact things weren t as cut and dry as Earth got conquered, find a way to remove the conquerors It ll be interesting to see where things go from here and I guess I have a new series from Glynn Stewart I have to follow now.

    19. This is a good space opera but I would have liked the characters to have a little depth and the good captain was a little luckier than she deserved All in all a good adventure story with lots of strange alien creatures and fancy on board technology Good battle sequences but didn t quite grip me as much as I would have liked.

    20. Not too bad for SF with a military bend Of course, Einstein goes out of the window as, apparently Newton , but it is a bit colourful than e.g Weber or Larson or even Moon An easy read if you want to relax, and can switch of the critical parts of your brain Also, the Kindle edition is quite cheap.

    21. This was a nice surprise of a plot for me Any book that gives me spark of the imagination is a win in my book no pun intended The Duchy of Terra series has exceeded my expectation Well done to the author

    22. Good read with a clumsy political push injectedIt was a good read I found the overt political agenda to be a bit obtrusive and that took me out of what was an otherwise really good book.

    23. Yes, it s a space opera but I was in a wet fog on vacation, so That said, this was great fun Strong plot and characters a true adventure in the finest traditions of that term Looking forward to the sequel, so pooh on any shocked pseudo intellectuals

    24. great book would be a great movieGreat science fiction story Awesome characters, aliens plot lines keep you guessing This would be perfect for a TV miniseries Very enjoyable reading.

    25. Overall, a pretty good read The characters seemed a little flat at times, but the plot had enough twists and interest to make up for the characters.

    26. FIVE STARS Great space opera The Earth defenses are about to be destroyed and the only hope for the future is a single star ship and its new Captain A Great 3 book series.

    27. Extremely readable, but oh so very light and predictable.Extremedamente leible pero muy muy liviano y predecible.

    28. A joyThis was real fun, fast paced, and characters that are fun to be with , if M SF is to your liking, give this a go.

    29. Good believable characters, and an interesting universe to explore Plus combat in space What do you need
