    2. What makes an assassin tick Why would anyone, any decent person, want to kill another for money British combat veteran Michael Devlin lost it all when he lost his wife five years ago Making a promise to himself not to seek another love, he has condemned himself to a solitary existence, alone in his room.Yet he likes florist Emma, from whom he buys flowers for his wife s grave each week, and she likes him Could this be a first spark of love But Michael Devlin also is an assassin his combat buddy, [...]

    3. Simply Brilliant I could tell after only a few pages in that I was going to enjoy this story Thomas Waugh has such an easy and fluid writing style, that is both engaging and Interesting Once I starting reading this, I couldn t stop I really like the main character Michael Devlin, he s an ex soldier turned assassin He s so unassuming and down to earth, but his Para training have given him the skills he needs It s impressive when you can dispatch three or four men without breaking a sweat Thomas W [...]

    4. A great book won in a giveaway I was hooked from the very start and the writing is punchy and fast paced The blurb describes the main guy as a hero or anti hero and challenges the reader to decide Well I was rooting for Michael Devlin , the hired assassin all the way and I loved the pretty Catholic girl Emma who has fallen for him without knowing anything about him My only criticism of this super book is that it was all too brief.

    5. Hmmm I found this a bit of a self indulgent introspective wade between 2 killings Lots of waffle description that leads no where.

    6. Short an sweetA very well written tale first one for me by this author but it will not be the last Tom Waters

    8. I enjoyed this, it packs a nice little story and interesting characters for us to follow through the course of the book. What I really liked here was the author knew when and where to end it, he could have used another hundred pages of filler and puffed it into a 350 page book but it would have completely ruined the good work here I ve come across a few books where it should have been done like it was here, left out the filler nonsense and they d have been even better for it.I ll definitely read [...]

    9. I won this book for free in a Giveaway in exchange for an honest opinion This was an enjoyable little novella The main character is well developed and interesting I liked all of the side characters as well The plot was intriguing and the story was written nicely I recommend it to anyone looking for a short redemption story thriller to read.

    10. Just okAttempts too much good vs evil etc in too short a package Reads like it Makes ight have been adapted from a movie treatment of London gangsters that never got produced.
