    1. Effectively creepy story about a La Llorona, a folktale ghost brought from Mexico to Vancouver by a recent transplant A story about the baggage of childhood fears and traumas that refuse to stop haunting us, we ll into our busy adult lives.

    2. These things follow you Maybe ghosts can follow you, too Read it for Halloween A guy live in Canada, leaving his mother with his sister behind in Mexico And this ghost, La Llorona haunt him and the only thing he knows can repel this ghost is his mother embrace The childhood fears blanketed him, disturbing his life.

    3. Cool little story about a Mexican guy living in Canada and his encounters with a homeless woman who bemoans her lost children, triggering his guilt about leaving his family, especially his mother, behind in Mexico and reminding him of the folk tale of La Llorona I m digging Moreno Garc a s stuff, even if this one isn t my favorite of her short stories.
