    1. This is a delightful book that all children will certainly adore Our story begins with an introduction of the rest of the animals on the author s farm Each one is introduced as they sound the alarm about Vicky s antics The cows moo, the rooster crows and even the rabbits know there is something not right. Then we meet Vicky the goat who likes to come up on the porch just like a person She is cheeky and funny She not only goes on the porch but likes to get in the chicken coop with the chickens eat [...]

    2. There are two essential things for successful picture book The first is that it must sound engaging when read aloud It is not, I repeat not essential to make a book rhyme I have critiqued dozens of rhyming books that should never have been written this way Unfortunately this book is one of them If you attempt the difficult task of writing a book in rhyme, you must be able to maintain the beat and the pattern consistently throughout the entire text without resorting to convoluted sentence structu [...]

    3. I loved it The story reminded me of living on a farm and what type of animals can be there In this case, the author is using her own personal stories of life at home to reach kids and it works The illustrations were watercolors and very cute The stories are easy to read and are made for the first reader category, age 6 7 yr age My granddaughter will get a kick out of this and I can see the preschoolers loving to hear this story also as it is about animals This is sure to be a hit as it isn t too [...]

    4. The illustrations in this delightful book bring the mischievous barnyard animals right off the pages and into your lap home school You and your children will not forget the silly goat who is just the beginning of a series I m sure Ellie Mae Kay s future books will include many of the barnyard animals we are introduced to in this book I look forward to reading all of them I recommend this book for Story Time in schools.

    5. Great book kids will love with its cute pictures and fun story Everyone knows what trouble goats can get in to and this book is a fun way to share in their escapades Great job and a must have for kids and grandkids.

    6. This is such a sweet book Fun illustrations I like the choices the author made with her rhyming words for a first time reader combinations like two and moo and pear and chair help new readers how to identify sounds Love this book
