    1. Jennifer Gracen has done it again She kept me glued to my recliner as I followed the roller coaster ride that is falling in love How clever Gracen is to coincide each stage of a new relationship with the changing of seasons I really like Lydia which is why this story works for me Lydia does not feel sorry herself, she is no one s door mat and puts her son above all else If she was a damsel in distress I couldn t stomach another story, let alone four And Sam Sure he s a great guy but not perfect [...]

    2. This is a fabulous second book in the Seasons of Love series I was a bit shocked in this book compared to book 1 You will still enjoy and care for Sam and Lydia as well as the secondary characters involved in their lives. In this installment you get to see of them in their daily life Their phone calls, chats via email text and their feelings for one another It s brilliant Not overly done, but done in a fabulous way that has you loving them and enjoying watching them truly fall for one another Th [...]

    3. I m so excited that I got to read this pretty soon after reading Autumn Getaway Of course the downside to reading a book in a series so closely to the one before is when the author decides to put in reminders, so it almost seems like you re re reading the books prior In this particular case I feel that Jennifer Gracen did a lovely job covering some of the important issues that came up but did not do it to a point where I felt bogged down Little reminders here and there are necessary when you hav [...]

    4. It was lovely to be able to jump straight into the second book in this series which follows directly on from Lydia and Sam leaving the hotel after their friends wedding It was lovely to follow the romance through phone calls and their first meeting I admit that I was a little disappointed in Sam at the beginning of the book and sure when you read it you ll know why He just seems like this model of perfection and he does something that doesn t fit with that role They are both really keen to get t [...]

    5. You know how wonderful it is to connect with friends and catch up You get that same feeling when you read Winter Hopes catching up on the lives of Sam and Lydia and watching their budding romance progress.I was fortunate to receive an ARC of this book, so I was able to devour it immediately after completing the first book in the series, Autumn Getaway As a result, Sam and Lydia were fresh in my mind But Gracen weaved book 2 s tale beautifully There was enough back information in the story for a [...]

    6. About two weeks ago I finished the first book of the Seasons of Love series, Autumn Getaway, knowing that I had to get my hands on book two Now that I finished book two I know that I have to get my hands on book three Jennifer Gracen writes in a style that pulls the reader directly into the story from the very first page and does not let go until after, yes after, the last page has been turned I have come to care for Lydia and Sam I worry that their families will get in the way of the happy endi [...]

    7. Sam and Lydia s story continues in Winter Hopes When we last left Sam and Lydia, they first met and already the pull toward each other was intense They decide to try and have a long distance relationship, despite the disapproval of Sam s family This book was well written Ms Gracen has the ability to pull you into the character s story Winter Hopes had all kinds of tender moments, steamy moments, and left me wondering what spring will bring in the next book Ms Gracen made me care about the charac [...]

    8. The second book in the Seasons of Love series, by Jennifer Gracen, did not disappoint How wonderful to be back in Sam and Lydia s world Winter Hopes continues the story of Sam and Lydia s blossoming long distance relationship It was interesting to learn about the characters real lives and to get to know them Gracen draws you into the story and leaves you wanting to know about the characters I am captivated by the storyline about Lydia s speech delayed young son and her relationship with her e [...]

    9. I just finished reading it this morning and am now eagerly awaiting the next book I love Sam and Lydia s story The characters have really evolved since the first book At one point, while I was reading, I actually got mad at one of the characters like they were a friend of mine That s how you know it s a good book I can t wait to read the next book in the series Love the story.love the characterslove these books

    10. Ahhwinter But don t worry about being coldSam and Lydia heat these pages up It is so fantastic to continue on their journey with them They are so drawn together and trying so hard is not always easybut a wonderful story I really enjoyed getting to know about their extended families The way that Ms Gracen can paint a story continues to astound me Now I just have to try to patiently wait for Spring

    11. Sam and Lydia take their budding relationship to new depths and heights in this second part of their story From family members and friends to jobs and daily life stuff, the two learn to share their long distance worlds, coming together with sparks every chance they get I loved the story and eagerly await book three

    12. Jennifer Gracen has a gift for writing romance and her description is exceptionally vivid I remember reading Autumn Getaway for the first time, and though I generally read young adult, she quickly pulled me in.

    13. Love at first sight.I really loved this book it was so good I want to get the next book now how come it doesn t come out until October

    14. Okay, this will contain some spoilers so proceed with caution, you ve been warned.I was very excited to get an ARC of Winter Hopes after reading Autumn Getaway I wanted to know how the story played out for Lydia and Sam.While the first book in the series focused on them meeting, this one brought us into their budding relationship a little Lydia is still cautious, and rightly so, but by the end of the book we see her opening up , trusting Sam and letting him into parts of her life that are extr [...]

    15. Winter Hopes, Seasons of Love Book Two, Jennifer GracenGenre Contemporary RomanceReview from Jeannie Zelos book reviews I loved the first part of this trilogy and was keen to find out what happens next Sam and Lydia are dating long distance, meeting every other weekend with Sam staying in a hotel Slowly Lydia is beginning to trust Sam and let him into her and Andy s lives Andy s dad and her parents aren t happy about her new relationship, for different reasons, but it all hits at her fragile sel [...]

    16. Here we are again with book two in the Seasons of Love series We pick up with our couple attempting to continue moving their budding relationship forward Long distance relationships are not easy, good thing Sam isn t hurting for money as a flights hotels every other week to New York from Chicago has got to be spendy But he is a determined man willing to make the sacrifice, or is he Book two, Winter Hopes puts us on Sam and Lydia s home turf and we get to know them a bit better Better than we did [...]

    17. I just had to read Winter Hopes by Jennifer Gracen after I read the book blurb The two main characters, school teacher, Lydia Powell and graphic designer promoted to Creative Director, Sam Forrester, are likeable and interesting They met at a mutual friend s wedding and immediately hit it off Deciding then and there that they wanted to see each other again, they made plans to keep in touch Lydia is recently divorced and lives with her three year old son in a suburb outside of New York City and S [...]

    18. Reviewer for Paranormal Romance and Authors that Rock I give Winter Hopes 4.5 out of 5 FangsOk I was ready to watch Sam and Lydia s romance continue in book 2, I couldn t wait to see how it advanced In my review of book 1 Autumn Getaway I mentioned that Sam seemed to perfect and well book 2 shows you that he is not as perfect as it seemed in part 1 and believe it or not I think it makes me like him knowing that he is flawed Relationships are hard enough, but long distance ones are even harder t [...]

    19. This is another chapter in the dare I say courtship of Lydia and Sam The wedding is over and Lydia and Sam are now separated by a relatively huge geographic area That does not stop Sam from flying in to visit New York and continue to sweep Lydia off her feet This book delves into their relationship good and bad Again, I liked the realistic dialog and the storyline immensely Thank you NetGalley and Booktrope for allowing me to read and review this great romance I love watching the story unfold.

    20. I had the privilege of reading an ARC of Winter Hopes and thought it was lovely It was way steamier than book 1 It dives into the passionate romance of Sam and Lydia which as we all know a brand new romance particularly one involving a long distance relationship is ripe for intensity steam But in true Gracen style, it was still sweet and intimate and beautifully written It is intended for a mature audience so the content while steamy isn t just for shock value, it makes the book lyrical and is [...]

    21. This is book two in the Seasons of Love series In this book we see Sam and Lydia, who we met in book one, try their hand at a long distance relationship They are both a little skittish about getting into a new relationship but the instant connection they had when they met makes them want to try this out This book is another awesome read by Jennifer Gracen The reader was entertained until the very end of the book It is a great book I give it 4 stars.

    22. I didn t read the first book which is too bad because it sounds like it was a whirlwind of a book I didn t feel like I was missing anything exactly only it makes me curious on the details Love the characters and am rooting for them even the ex that he learns his lesson A very human and endearing romance.

    23. Winter Hopes is a continuation of the characters lives from Autumn Getaway As I stated in an earlier review, I did not realized that this is a series concerning Lydia and Sam for the first year of their relationship This book like the first provides some closure to the story so far without a major cliffhanger I really like that it doesn t leaving you hanging. There is a lot of drama in this book with family and friends All of it sound and read plausible and probable in the life of a real life Lyd [...]

    24. I you are looking for like a book with a definite story line plot, this is not the book for you The book, though very well written, follows the sweet romance between Lydia and Sam, which began in the first book However, as I indicated, the story is rather bland The only quirk in the book is the fact that Sam, though totally smitten with Lydia who lives quite a distance away so he cannot see her often, continues his liaison with a female lawyer in his home town I realize there are needs, but I wa [...]

    25. This book starts off where book one Autumn Getaway leaves off The good thing it does do is that it eventually gives you a small catch up to what happened to this point I do recommend you read book one so you can become fully invested in the characters Like when I say I am not happy by chapter 3 with Sam Forrester on behalf of Lydia Powell I kind of got the feeling he had to be too good to be true I guess we will see how it all plays out won t we Luckily he had friends who seemed to talk him thro [...]

    26. 3 Stars This was the least favorite of the 4 and not bc it was bad just bc it was the in between The awkward stage Sam and Lydia didn t have labels yet and as some things happen they really got to me Book Two shows each of them in their surroundings, their day to day You get to see the start of their long distance bonding I think Sam s experience during the week he goes to visit Lydia for the first time is very real Even though at the time I was a tad shocked but his thoughts were on point for a [...]

    27. Reviewed for NetGalley So, I got this one to read since I liked the last one okay, but this particular book made me not care for ANY of the characters Our heroine is completely selfish She shares a child with another person, and I realize he was not there for you for a while, but you still need to share parenting details like, Oh, by the way, our kid is going to need to change schools Instead of just springing information like that on a person That s not nice at all And our hero has a casual vie [...]

    28. I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in return for an honest review So I am struggling through this series and not over enjoying the books But I am a trooper and given the reviews I want to follow through I enjoyed this book then the first So i am hoping that the third and fourth will just get better This is a romance novel that is realistic then most warm hearted romance novels There are a few gritty details that surprised me.

    29. Jennifer Gracen has gone with steamy and sexy in this novel, Winter Hopes Sam and Lydia are just starting a relationship and they need to choose whether long distance is going to work or not They try it, and find that they need each other than they knew They also find that they need to be open in their relationship You get to go on a journey with Sam and Lydia as they find out what works for them It is a delightful read.
