    1. Any time I pick up a book by Natasha Deen I start with great expectations With Guardian, she managed to exceed my expectations by leaps and bounds I loved this book It is important to note that I am NOT an e reader fan My copy of Guardian is electronic Somehow I managed to get so totally lost in the story that I forgot I was reading my computer, I forgot I was sitting in my living room, I was in Dead Falls, Alberta with Serge and Maggie Any time you pick up a book by this author, you can be sure [...]

    2. Disclaimer I received my copy of this book from a First Reads giveaway.Natasha Deen s Guardian is one of my first forays into the world of contemporary Canadian teen fiction, and it is the first book I ve read from Great Plains Publications Bottom line I am fairly impressed. The two key strengths of this book are the premise and the characters Deen takes a unique approach to the supernatural theme that is so popular in young adult literature, and she does so very intelligently Maggie s gift and t [...]

    3. Thanks to and the publisher for my free copy I have a weirdly specific soft spot in my heart for main characters who are kind of morbid girls So when I found out that Maggie, the main character of Guardian, helped the dead move on to the afterlife and she was an undertaker s daughter, I was already sold And this book didn t disappoint.I think the part I was most impressed with was the characterization, and that especially comes to play with respect to Serge s character At the beginning of the bo [...]

    4. I thoroughly enjoyed this book Maggie has always seen the dead and helped them go from confusion to the beyond Serge is the bane of her existence He strives to make her life complete and total misery When she finds his body, she thinks that is the end of her torment, but in reality it is just the beginning As a spirit, he is her constant companion, even if it is what neither of them wants She has to figure out who killed him and why, but that puts her in grave danger.I really liked Maggie She is [...]

    5. well paced supernatural murder mystery with a number of twits and turns and a genuinely creepy feel really great read.

    6. I really enjoyed this book, however is was soooo slow and didn t pick up until the ending chapters Also, I was confused most of the time because I couldn t tell who was talking This book is very interesting tho, so I would give it a 3.5 rating, just be aware of confusion.

    7. I received this book from Goddess Fish Promotions in return for a fair and honest review.Holy Smoke, this book will give you something new to read The story starts with 17 year old Maggie suffering from being bullied by a jock, Serge As you read, you find out that Maggie has strange abilities although she is quite content and able to deal with them What makes this all the better is that her dad knows and helps too There is no absentee parenting with this pair There is no slacking off in this boo [...]

    8. Natasha Deen s novel Guardian is a supernatural mystery It has a wonderful combination of teen drama, paranormal adventure, and suspense.Dysfunctional families, bullies, and a murder make up the dark side of the story There is also a lightness thanks to the sense of humour of the characters.

    9. This book is the best love the humour When I got if from young authors conference I got her to sign it best day ever
