1 thought on “JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Part 1—Phantom Blood, Vol. 2

    1. In this volume, the story takes a sharp turn as Dio becomes a vampire Just when you thought he couldn t get any worse Now Jonathan has to learn the power of Hamon from Mr Zeppeli to defeat him I ve always like the idea of Hamon Too bad it gets dropped after Part 2, but the concept of Stands is freaking AWESOME I also want to put out there that Speedwagon is amazing and I think we could all benefit from having a Speedwagon in our lives.

    3. There s not enough words to describe how much I love this series Rese a del arco completo jane iswriting 201

    4. This book begin s as Dio s power develops, see s in the introduction of Zeppeli and hamon skills and ends just as Jonathan Joestar is to battle legendary warriors.Another action packed installment with plenty of developments as it goes on Still loving the kooky story as to be expected of this rollercoaster series I am only sad to see that they have inked less of the manga s up than they did in the last book.

    5. So far, JoJo seems to be the polar opposite of, say, , but is almost just as good Whereas is subtle, dark, and character driven, JoJo is totally over the top batshit muscley armed Victorian era stab happy brain wave shooting vampire aztec Jack the ripper horse killing zombie knight revenge demon madness.I m into it.

    6. This volume is also pretty crazy, but it s funny how one becomes accustomed to ridiculousness Such is the way of shonen manga it doesn t take long to get on board with the rules of crazy powers and battles This one is pretty out there though Expect a blog from me on the first two volumes soon.

    7. I think my favorite thing is, how Speedwagon only exists to tell us how awesome the protagonists are It s so over the top that it s cool.

    8. Quick recap In 19th Century England, orphan Dio Brando comes to live with the wealthy and noble Joestar family In retrospective, they probably should have asked questions about how he became an orphan Dio planned to supplant the heir, Jonathan Jojo Joestar, then murder his adoptive father for the inheritance It didn t quite work out that way, and Dio has been forced to resort to a stone mask with occult properties See my review of the previous volume. As this volume opens, the police riddle Dio [...]

    10. I give this volume 3.5 stars, but ehh I ll round it up to 4, because it deserves it This manga certainly brings back a lot of good memories, not even quite year old memories either As a matter of fact, it was around this time of the year that I first got into Jojo, it was Halloween night, I think It s an amazing series, and because of the anniversary of my getting into it this month, I m going to devote this month s recreational reading all to Jojo I love all of the characters, and while the gra [...]

    11. We got some zombies and vampires in this one, along with ridiculous clothing and exaggerated muscles But what really shines in this volume are the supporting characters.First you got Speedwagon, and I mean, it s Speedwagon He s the original BroJo.When in doubt, trust Speedwagon And then you have Baron Zeppeli Included at the end of the book, I found the author s commentary about this character quite interesting He mentions how Zeppeli s character was a gamble, since fans might not have liked hi [...]

    13. I loved Vol 1, but Vol 2 is even better Me Zeppeli is a fabulous character and I really enjoyed the personality that he brought to the story and his dynamic with Speedwagon and JoJo I m really excited to start Vol 3.

    14. Reading this the second time around, I think I enjoy it than the first Such a fascinating story It s fun, too, keeping the next two parts of the series in mind as I go through this one An excellent story, although to be sure, Phantom Blood is the weakest of the three arcs I ve seen read.

    15. still totally ridiculous when something is this ridiculous the gore doesn t bother me because it is clearly not based in reality.

    16. The death of zepeli san will not be uselessly and jonathan is one of the best jojos in this part love to erina my ten to this bookSONO CHINO SADAME JOOOOOOOOOOOOOJOO xDDDDDDDDDD

    17. The second volume of JoJo that Shea and I discussed for last month s manga show My favorite aspect from this one is Zeppeli.
