    1. From the moment I picked up 20th Century Fashion 100 Years of Style by Decade and Designer, in Association with Vogue, by Linda Watson I had trouble putting it down because it gave me so many fashion coordination ideas and educated me so thoroughly about Vogue from the 1900 s to the 1990 s, that I felt repeatedly drawn to it Separated by eras, the beginning of the book called the decades was written in a breezy style packed with so much insider information from the pages of the magazine I felt l [...]

    2. Leafing through this book, a conspicuous, rather yawning gap immediately becomes apparent no mention aside from a single photo is made of Azzedine Ala a How is it possible to compile a hundred year history of modern fashion decade by decade designer by designer, as the book s title claims not mention M Ala a, one of the pillars and by far one of the very few, stand out geniuses of his m tier of 20th Century fashion I find it incomprehensible to deliberately omit his name disregard his many contr [...]

    3. A perfect book for someone who doesn t know anything about fashion or to someone who s studying fashion designing It took me ages to finish reading because I didn t find the most designers from A to Z very interesting, just the most famous ones The book starts with a history of fashion containing all the decades of VOGUE until 2000s I wouldn t read it again any time soon because I stick to the VOGUE magazine itself But it s a very profound fashion encyclopedia and now one of my favorite books.

    4. Books with amazing photography are must haves for stoners Public libraries are wonderful for this The pre WWII visual culture is especially trippy because it s easy to imagine as a parallel, contemporaneous, alien reality It feels modern but separate and esoteric Basically I wish it were possible to just leaf through Vogue magazines from these eras I wouldn t call myself a devotee of high fashion by any means, but it s an interesting paradigm to sip and sample.

    5. I didn t read this page by page, but I enjoyed what I did read I liked reading through the history of fashion when Vogue Magazine first was printed I also liked how it then gave bios on all the famous designers It was an informative, interesting read for the fashion lover

    6. Not a whole lot of information in the Style by Decade section, but the book showcased a decent collection of short, designer biographies.

    7. informative, but largely celebrating Vouge and it s role in the century Historically, there isn t much to learn from this

    8. Not bad, some good info on fashion eras and a decent amount of info on designers A good addition to any fashion library.

    9. eh i thought there d be pictures but it helped me to learn that I adore Dries Van Noten.okay, so a little than eh.
