    1. I didn t understand.I didn t give it a chance I kept falling asleep at the end of very long days, and never had much occasion to think about what I was reading.Until the end.And then I knew This is my story. This is my story through a mirror, and it cut my guts out like it was the ancient demon Tenzjin is convinced has come for him, to punish him for his betrayal. If you want to read about a man like my Antho, written before he was even a thought in my mind, read this.Read it with your mind open.B [...]

    2. 4,5 stars To exorcise a demon you must not look in the eyenot let it make a home inside you a demon eats your heart a demoncomes from the heart it sits and waitsfrom one beat to the next it neither sleepsnor lets you sleep it neither eatsnor lets you eat it will not leave hungry.Foolish boy Look at its mouth Your blood already gleams on its lips you can chase it from this house, but it will neverlose your taste, nor will you get backthe heart it has swallowed whole That was beautiful , he said, s [...]

    3. 4.5 StarsI think this officially makes me a Shukyou devotee Yup I m all in I want to say so much about this book, but mostly I just want you to read it so that we can discuss it For me, this was a big, huge message book in just a few short pages I questioned, shook and feared Oh no, not that kind of fear The blurb talks about demons, but these aren t the scary demons of your nightmares Or are they All I m really going to say is that if the author hadn t made me feel the love so deeply, this neve [...]

    4. Spoilerish maybe. To survive Tenzjin has cut himself adrift from the things that anchored him to life, home, family To survive, he betrayed and cut off a huge chunk of himself He now has to live, adrift, lonely with the huge boulder of guilt continually chained to his leg So he sees Mot, is he a demon or is the demon only a external manifestation of the demon inside Tenzjin, I do not know I feel that Tenzjin cannot now live without the demon he can only live with him, like he has to live with his [...]

    5. Innocence.Indifference.Ignorance.Acceptance.Of rules, of self, of intimacy, of love, and most of all, of someone how you perceive them to be No one else, but you.You don t need to see it all, know it all, just be together because it s what you want Sharing books and baths because that s all that matters.I would gladly give up whiskey and wine.In the same way Tenzjin and Mot want a world in which they don t have to wait for the door to hiss closed, I want the same for all of us.This may have been [...]

    6. What an amazing read I enjoyed every moment of it I had a bit of trouble at first in understanding the background but after that, the characters just pulled me in I was fascinated I was on the edge of my seat through the whole story At first, by the demon introduction Then by the ways Tenzjin might hurt Mot since the young man seemed to fragile and sensitive to everything Then the awful possibility that Mot might indeed be a demon And the climax scene where there seemed to be only 2 choices, bot [...]

    7. Do not go gentle into that good night has another meaning in this story Ah, but what sweet surrender it is Lovely story, though the ending is quite open to interpretation.

    8. A difficult story to review without ruining it s magic For a short story there s a lot here.It s about fighting demons, whether those demons are real entities or sybmolic ones is up the reader That mystery being part of the stories magic a simple story, or something complex. There s dignity, conflict and a very sweet surrender Accept yourself, the ending can be a happy one.

    9. I didn t like this Not rating because the subject matter was one I knew I shouldn t have read in the first place.

    10. actually i expected from this book, so it left me a bit unsatisfied Their love affair seemed a bit superficial to me.
