    1. I was especially drawn into the storyline of this book since it involves a Middle Eastern woman and an American soldier I visited Yemen several years ago, and whenever I read about a story surrounding the Middle East, I find myself greatly intrigued and somewhat reminiscent In light of the current crisis in Syria as far as I know, things are still bad there , this romance was quite timely and involving The book was a simple read in once sense, but it was highly emotional There were no bedroom sc [...]

    2. Shadows of Damascus is a beautifully written, compelling story of honor, the complexities of honor and war and love as told through two believable and well drawn characters Though not my typical read, I was sucked into this emotional story, thoroughly engrossed and would highly recommend

    3. Truly lovely story with a great hero that is believable and full of life I am always a little cautious when the hero of a book is a war vet simply because they are normally way overdone to keep up with the hero perception, but Adam was wonderfully wrote, well rounded, likeable man with alot of integrity that struggles to overcome his violent and abusive childhood This book really captured the essence of what war does to people in different capacities and how it impacts lives for generations to c [...]

    4. Shadows of Damascus is an incredible tale of a modern day romance born out of the violence in the Middle East.Read full review in the 2014 October issue of InD tale Magazine.

    6. Ms Taha s book is not your mama s romance Two worlds collide in this romance, and the resulting story will keep the reader a little nervous and somewhat frustrated at these two hard headed people Are Adam and Yasmeen meant to be than just man and wife in name only Will life in America prove too much for Yasmeen to handle The story details the marriage of two people who stumble their way as they try to communicate in spite of their different cultures Reading SHADOWS OF DAMASCUS gives an insight [...]
