    1. I think this is a spoiler, so read at your own will I guessThere was one person that reminded me of when I read Butcher s log about Dallas intentions and goals while in Angola It was only a matter of time before she outgrew the work she was doing and the CGIs would leave the ZBs in order to transform yet another prison or hospital Dallas had a vision and it didn t include resting on her laurels She was out to do something bigger than convert a single prison. She was out to rebuild our world That [...]

    2. Second in a seriesDallas and Roper are fighting an endless battle against the man eaters For every one they annihilate, a dozen or are created They come in hordes, dragging their lifeless forms and squelching their way forwards in their quest for fresh human flesh Dallas, Roper and their small band of survivors have spent a year cooped up in the Bayou The alligators are their allies and clean up team But now it s time to move on They need to do than survive, they have to move forward, live the [...]

    3. Linda Kay Silva truly has a talent when it comes to developing great characters that engage the reader and won t let go The Horde is a perfect example of this talent Reader beware though that once The Horde is started it is next to impossible to put down As Dallas and Roper continue to find new friends the number of foes is also growing Not only does this family have to be creative in their fight for survival against the zombies polluting the Earth, they also have to find ways to out think and o [...]

    4. Once again, LK Silva has written a zombie book for a nonzombie reader Her characters are extremely likeable, well except for the ones that aren t supposed to be Whether I liked them or not, each character is believable and interesting Yes the people are trying to survive zombies taking over the USA, but the twist is that certain people are immune and what those people do to help save the country I couldn t put it down and anxiously await number three A very fun vacation read.

    5. Absolutely fascinating With characters so real you can almost smell them, Linda paints a heroic story that makes the reader get a little dirty along with Dallas and Roper and the rest It becomes very easy to appreciate the unconventional families that find love along with plenty of zombie brains Looking forward to the next one
