    1. A neat collection of animals, beyond the usual cat, dog, bear, penguin though there are both bears and penguins here too They are not stuffed toys stuffies though many have pipe cleaners in legs wings tails for posing, so be careful about giving them to younger children with those intact.I also liked the information given on each animal A little natural history, some fun facts or trivia Just some fun information. For me personally, a book of inspiration patterns and fun facts, as opposed to a co [...]

    2. This book, while not for the beginner knitter, is a crazy cute book of little knitted animals I loved that it wasn t you typical cat and dog patterns Knit Your Own Zoo includes lions, and tigers, and bearswell you know the rest The finished product are distinctly recognizable as its intended animal Personally, I can t get enough of the elephant and giraffe I just want to eat em up It has well written patterns and beautiful, detailed photographs Many of the animals are made up of small pieces on [...]

    3. 3.5 starsThis is a neat, original knitting book I m not sure when I will have the time to knit my own zoo, but I still really enjoyed going through this book 24 different zoo animals with beautiful color pictures throughout the book and nicely organized Rowan yarns are used in the patterns, so easily available to most knitters. There are no charts in this book which is a negative for me especially with the zebra and leopard There are also no schematics, but that is not as much of a problem becaus [...]

    4. nonfiction knitting These are larger than I d like mostly about 7 tall but that allows for detail I guess I made a full size penguin minus the yellow emperor species markings and modified the bat pattern to make two smaller versions because bats in these parts are tiny using my random stash of yarn and they turned out pretty nicely The inserted pipe cleaners sorry, chenille stems work pretty well to provide bone structure and shape. The patterns utilized regular knitting needles knit flat, then [...]

    5. there are some cute patterns in this book If you want to create some animals for the nursery or gifts for young ones this is a winner Without being able to print from the Digital ARC I received it is hard to follow a pattern but they all appear to be fairly straight forward None too difficult Good illustration for each pattern.

    6. Knit Your Own Zoo is a great new collection to the series The animals are cute and make me want to pick up my knitting needles and start a project That s the best recommendation there is for a knitting pattern book.

    7. This books contains some fabulous creations The patterns and instructions seem well written However, they might be easy to follow for experienced knitters, not for beginners Gorgeous knitted animals though

    8. This series of books are fun and I am amazed at the creativity of the authors There are both classic zoo animals as well as some lesser known ones which creates a nice variety The skill level varies so all knitters can find something to knit with pleasure.

    9. Some very cute animals in here, but a little on the complicated side for me But it was still an entertaining read.

    10. Great patterns for very real looking wild animals No whimsy and not toy like at all These are not for children I admire the creative skill but will not be making any of them.

    11. Adorable knitted animals Detailed patterns for all, including stuffing instructions Not for the novice knitter Provided by publisher.

    12. Utterly adorable Going to comb through my Rowan yarns and maybe attempt a meerkat or two because whoever has just one meerkat
