    1. No Dog Left Behind is a well written short story, authored by a veterinarian and military officer currently assigned on active duty with a special operations command. The story is set in Afghanistan and should appeal to readers interested in the lives of military dogs, or for that matter, to all dog loving readers in general.

    2. The true meaning of a hero.5 out of 5 stars. So this is where Cole McBride started out I knew when reading The Chimera Sequence that Elliott Garber had written previously about McBride, but I didn t realize that it was going to be hard hitting and short. This one got me, mostly because I am a dog person The story was short and an insanely quick read at about 20 pages I finished this before I even finished my drink The story follows McBride and a military dog Solo I do wish we could get some back s [...]

    3. Very well written short story, full of action and endearing characters Can t wait to read in this series

    4. Wonderful gripping story Thanks for the inside look at an aspect of war we do not see or think about It reminds us again of the terrible cost of war and the sacrifice required by all involved.

    5. An excellent little book about the dangers of being aa soldier in Afghanistan and of the strong relationship between the war dogs and their trainers When I reach the end I was left wondering whether Solo would survive the ordeal, the long plane ride and then the medical care and what future there is for such a dog It is so sad that we have to submit dogs and other animals to man s folly At least the conditions have changed since the Vietnam war when hundreds of dogs were left behind when the sol [...]

    6. A short story with lots of heartIt is short but filled with feeling and knowledge of war dogs and how much they are appreciated by soldiers in the field

    7. Loved the storyI really liked the story, wished there was to read about it I love reading about these special animals.

    8. This was a very quick read It started off a little bit slow but then really pulls you in and makes you feel a lot of compassion for both the vet and the dog The only turn off for me was the military acronyms that are never explained It doesn t take away from understanding the point of the story but was a little annoying for me.

    9. With a good opening hook, Garber s prose clips along at a good pace He kept me engaged the whole way, even engrossed at a couple points I found his dialogue convincing thank you and characters realistic. Not knowing much about dogs in the military, the whole tale was also an eye opener to another kind of life and never crossed the line to feeling sentimental Great read Pass it on

    10. Dog left behindThis book really shows the camaraderie the troops have adv of the patrons and their military canines to help others I loved it.

    11. A great story A wonderful view into the world of a military veterinarian and the animals they are devoted too.

    12. A well written short story that s a heartfelt glimpse into the lives of military dogs and the soldiers who work with and care for them.
