    1 thought on “Demon Divided

    1. This is my first venture into Stevenson s world of vampires, demons, and other terrifying characters I wasn t sure what to expect, but I found that her casual humor and tongue in cheek writing style held my attention and made me want to keep reading An example of the wonderful dry humor that made me laugh out loud is this Shaun paused to think He didn t want to go to the effort of taking her head off again Not in his new coat Shaun and Sarah are twins whose mission in life is to hunt and destroy [...]

    2. Urban fantasy isn t my usual reading, but I really liked Blood Bound, book 1 of the Gallows series, so I decided to keep reading and I m happy to say that I liked Demon Divided even Demon hunting twins Shaun and Sarah Gallows are back, trying to track down the vampire maker responsible for the vampire they have locked up in the basement Why you need a locked cage in the basement to keep the vampire in, of course Along the way, Shaun finds himself being suspected of the grisly murder of a drug d [...]

    3. This was a highly entertaining, fun, exciting book to read This is a great follow up to Blood Bound, which ended so un expectantly for me that I had to go racing into Demon Divided to find out what happened next, and that s a sign of a really good author, telling a compelling story When I reviewed Blood Bound there was a nagging familiarity to the way Sharon Stevenson was telling the story that was frustrating me because I recognized it, but I couldn t put my finger on it, but halfway through De [...]

    4. I received a free copy of this e book in a giveaway, which did not influence my opinion in any way At the end of Blood Bound, Sarah had just met a seductive friend whose motivations were unclear Demon Divided wastes no time jumping back into the action The momentum is non stop as new and old characters make appearances, and the bond grows ever stronger between Sarah, Ray, and the hilarious Dev Meanwhile, Shaun deals with the aftermath of a former amorous enemy and stumbles upon new supernatural [...]

    5. reviewoffantasy 2nd Review for October Demon DividedStars 4 5 StarsThis book was given to me by the author for an honest review Demon Divided was a fast paced, smart talking, and well written book.I love the Gallow siblings but my favourite being Shaun Don t get me wrong Sarah is pretty cool but her love life is too crazy for me to keep up with, between Dev, Ray, Ben and now War, O and a pet wolf, it s just to crazy With Shaun it s just Elle which I love and Elle had me laughing so much througho [...]

    6. Another great book in this great series We meet again the siblings Sarah and Shaun, the demon trackers, Sarah torn between her ex, Ray, and her imprisoned vampire whom she can t resist letting suck her neck , and Shaun immersed within his beguiling relationship with the psychic, Elle Beguiling Just that they re attracted to each other, but not quite enough maybe As well as the strong sexual elements described with well delineated candour, we have scenes of blood letting, vampire killing, hunts f [...]

    7. Demon Divided is the second book in Sharon Stevenson s Gallows series If the first book Blood Bound could be said to throw you into the action from the get go, the same is true of the follow up However, while the first let you figure out the various facets of Stevenson s Urban Fantasy world as you went along, it was still a set up book, with the usual limitations Even when you could take vampires and witches and councils oh my for granted in Blood Bound , you were still learning about the Gallow [...]

    8. This a fantastic paranormal book and I really enjoyed reading it This story covers two twins Sarah and Shaun Gallows who are demon trackers and personality wise total opposites Sarah is reckless jumps in without looking first and Shaun is less confident and seems to hide and or suppresses his true potential I hate to give any information away about the story What you will find in this story is a mixture of demon trackers, witches, fairies, vampires, demons, zombies, and humans, the evil corrupt [...]

    9. My Thoughts 4 out of 5 unicorns I really liked it Okay this book was much better than book 1 I didn t feel confused liked I did during the first book This is not saying that it was predictable because it wasn t The book was exciting as far as everything that was happening Poor Shaun is a victim of his sister Sarah s trouble over and over, but she never does it on purpose I love how they are always there for each other whenever they get into trouble This is what I would hope for all twins especia [...]

    10. An interesting story of siblings demon hunters, Shaun and Sarah At first I was confused since this is the second in the series and most of the characters were already introduced in book one It took me several pages to figure out how is Sarah connected to Shaun and why she keeps a vampire in her basement Who was Ray, Dev, Ben and War Eventually it all kind of connected Once it did the story took off and it captured me The plot thickens when Shaun gets framed and things take on crazy and unpredict [...]

    11. Gripping and wonderful Demon Divided A Gallows Novel by Sharon StevensonDemon Divided is a gripping and wonderful addition to the book series. Many elements are included in this great read as Sarah and Shaun continue to track demons, embracing vampires and the psychic essence Blood spills from these pages for all young adult readers and other age groups of this supernatural genre.Get ready for a fun blood fueled but dark horror story, which will tease and maybe just tug at your insides So, take a [...]

    12. I got the first part on a free day, and based on the fact that I liked it quite a lot, finally treated myself to part 2.As a person who normally runs from anything smelling of teenage heroes, demon hunters or vampires, liking part 1 was odd enough, but I found myself just as engrossed in part 2 It s the characters fault The dialogues, especially between oversexed, ruthless and violent Sarah and her constantly grumpy, surly twin Shaun, had me hooting with laughter. There were a couple of proofread [...]

    13. Demon Divided is a story about twin demon hunters, Sarah and Shaun Gallows In an effort to restore one of her boyfriends, Ben, to his mortal self, Sarah hunted down Ben s vampire maker using a blessed stake, which was supposed to revert all vampires made by that vampire maker.Things got complicated when Sarah rashly bounded with a demon to try to extract information about Ben s maker out of him, which turned out to be not what Sarah wished for.I enjoyed this book and read it in less than a day T [...]

    14. I really enjoyed this follow up novel can t wait to read the next one in the series There s a little bit of everything to keep everyone happy I would highly recommend this book to everyone.

    15. Even better than book 1 if that is possible The Gallows twins are out adventuring each with their own shenanigans going on Friends, Family, and paranormal activity than you could shake a stick at I absolutely love all these characters and cannot wait to continue the hilarious journey of Shaun and Sarah Gallows.

    16. I was given an ARC for a true and honest review This was every bit as good as the first book and I m waiting impatiently for the next I ve definitely developed a special love for the fast paced Gallow twins They sure don t have to go looking for trouble, trouble has them on speed dial GPS The trouble from the first book has blown up to become even complex with choices they have made together and separately They re every move seems to only complicate things They are both wondering if they re ev [...]

    17. Another adventurous tale of the demon tracker twins Sarah and Shaun Gallows brings up surprises and twist that the first book in the series Necromancy, immortality, various supernaturals and magic work their way into reader s heart and leave a noticeable trace When Sarah made her bond with the vampire locked in her basement in order to gain information about his maker, she certainly did not expect the trouble coming with the link The demon s ability to switch bodies and keep the connection stil [...]

    18. I give this book 3.5 stars This is the second book in The Gallows series While you can read this book without having read Blood Bound, I don t recommend it as it helps you to understand what s going on in Demon Divided The book doesn t end in a cliffhanger but you know the story isn t over at the end of the book There is violence. The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I m not going to repeat that info here This series a fascinating mix of demon trackers, witches, fairies, vampires, [...]

    19. A very enjoyable and magical readThis book deals not only with supernatural issues but also basic human emotions in a way that causes you to identify with, and have empathy for, the characters It also shows what a mess you can make of your life when you don t think things through before acting This story grabbed me at the first sentence and didn t let go There were some surprises and some places where I thought how can you be so stupid There are places that make you cry and others that make you [...]

    20. I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.Demon Divided is Book 2 in The Gallows novels It takes off where book 1 left off Sarah is still facing off with the demon who has taken over Ben s body and Shaun is still trying to figure out how he feels about Elle All of the favorites from the first are still there and some of the not so favorites are still taking swings at our heroes The author does a solid job of keeping the book moving along by providing new inf [...]

    21. The Gallows twins are at it again fighting reanimated vampires, demons, and themselves It is their birthday and everything is going to hell Shaun is fighting himself about dating a psychic and Sarah is trying to fight off the demon she bonded with, her vampire who houses the demon, and her love for Ray All their problems are multiplied when Melissa comes back from the dead to get revenge and claim Shaun as her own, while trying to break her family curse Add in Sarah s new pet werewolf and you ha [...]

    22. The first book was really good, and this one is even better Like the first, there is soooo much in this book lots of detail, lots of intrigue, lots of action The Gallows world takes what we think we know about the typical mythical monsters and tips it ever so slightly on its head There s nothing typical about the werewolves and vampires in this book I can t wait to get my hands on book 3 to see what happens next.I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

    23. This is the second book in the series The story rotates around a brother and sister Both are demon hunters But with some really bad decisions things always seem to go from bad to worse A vampire in the basement that is in the body of her ex boyfriend Another vampire and some other bad things out to kill them Even a pet werewolf Sound confusing It is Received ARC from author for an honest review.

    24. The second book in this series brings us deeper into the world of the paranormal that the twins live in Sarah really digs her way into some trouble and Shaun lightens up a little bit I enjoyed all of the characters in this book and the story is bringing us new places and new discoveries of what is happening in the world the Gallows live in A lot of things are left unsolved to be resolved later in the series I am looking forward to the next book

    25. Received this book free for an honest review This book continues it s lengthy but addicting story It s so character involved that it seems tedious and drawn out at times, but it s the action and adventure that makes up for it This book is a saga, as in there s no HEAs happily ever afters If that s what you re looking for, sorry, this isn t it But if you want to get in the thick of things and want a break from cookie cutter paranormal mysteries, then this series is for you Enjoy

    26. You never know what the Gallow twins will have pop up for the day, may it be a zombie, a blood bound demon or a vampire This was the second book of the series and it kept me wondering what was going to happen next I can t wait to see what is in store with the next book I was given a free ARC copy of this story in exchange for an honest review

    27. I received the opportunity directly from the author to review this book as part of her review team As a new fan of this series I became attached to both siblings in the way the author intricately built their individual personalities I enjoy the turn and twist this second book of the series went I even caught my head shaking along with Shaun at his sister s choices and their ramifications.

    28. It is good once you get past being confused You have to figure out who is who and where they belong Once you get past that it is a good story Not one I usually read so it was hard to get into, I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
