    1. A Joyfully Jay review 4 starsI admit it This title totally drew me in and it was the reason that I picked up this book Not only is it perfect for the story within, but I m a sucker for alliteration And there was a lot about this story that I liked Berrisford has a knack for writing engaging and endearing characters I found myself rather amused with Aubrey and some of his antics And though he seemed rather opened minded for a man from 1647, this could be mostly explained by the freethinking group [...]

    2. I d give a 3.5 for this one i won this from the author on Lex Valentines xmas blog giveaways and its probably not one I would have gone out and read on my own but I did enjoy it.The plot is time travel, and I was expecting Simon to go back, so Aubrey coming forward was a plus, and whilst it was funny,I d have enjoyed laughs on this ploy It was afairly quick read, and being greedy, I d have liked to read about Richard Bonnie s experiences and the resolution of Aubrey and Simon moving back and t [...]

    3. I received this book from the author as a win from a competition I am so glad I didn t have to wait to read it when funds permitted, it was a great story.I loved the pagan aspects of the rituals Simon got involved in and I loved his love interest Aubrey Both characters came across as entertaining and the whole thing was full of great imagery and emotion Just a wonderful read all round.

    4. Disappointed that the resolution to the whole time travel thing was so rushed We spend the entire book hoping our heroes manage to travel back to save Aubrey s family and friends, and instead of seeing them actually do that, we get a quick infodump that they did it Would ve been enjoyable with a better pace.

    5. Fine read but nothing spectacular probably because it was too short to really develop much of anything I took a week off in the middle there and could barely remember what happened in the first half.

    6. First time I ve read this author s work and I m going to be reading a lot Quirky characters and the storyline make this a re read.
