    1. Jake s Review For a kiddie picture book, this one is pretty cool The illustrations are really nice to look at and the story is pretty good I think a lot of kids Jesse s age will really like this and I won t get bored when my parents make me read to the little midget I think the author is trying to teach little kids about habitats at the same time which is pretty cool, cause it is not obvious like when teachers try to teach us stuff I liked the cranky bear better because it was funnier, but this [...]

    2. Two bears from different climates help each other out.Polar bear has all the fish but no place to stay Brown bear has no fish but a cave to sleep in Polar bear shares all his fish and brown bear shares his cave But it s too warm for Polar bear Brown bear helps Polar bear find a cooler home and leaves him with a house warming fish gift A good story about sharing and understanding the different needs we all have while learning what we all have in common as needs, shelter, food etc The story can be [...]

    3. Brown bear is hungry, white bear offers him fish in return for helping him find a new home Clueless brown bear accepts this challenge with sometimes hilarious results.A very cute book about friendship, and difference privileging friendship but not letting go of difference Also beautiful pictures and some pretty amusing situations make for great reading aloud.

    4. Although the negotiation at the start of the story seemed a little too easy, there is still some good plot development here, both in the text and in the pictures the latter of which explains the cyclical conclusion As with the rest of the series, illustrations are amazing, the rhyme works well and the central core principle is explored through yet another variation.

    5. Another rollicking rhyming read from Australian author and illustrator Nick Bland This time the bear is hungry, but who is taking all his food A lovely story about cooperation and friendship. To view a reading of this book visit readtomychild

    6. Florence loved the animals here and was a bit sad when the polar bear s iceberg started to melt The rhyme scheme isn t clear at the beginning but we soon got used to it Florence loved the naughty crocodile who stole some of the bear s fish.

    7. The poor hungry bear takes a payment of fish to help a polar bear find a home, but then in a subtley done display of good manners gives them all away during the course of the search, until at the end he s back where he started Another delightful book.

    8. Another gem by Nick Bland I love his ability to rhyme and the illustrations are fun Its the story of two bears from opposite sides of the globe, who help each other out and they are both rewarded for their efforts What can I tell you, I m a big fan.

    9. One of my new favourites starring two bears who are never titled in the book as a brown bear and a polar bear Very nice story about being kind and helpful Super cute pictures and extremely fun to read aloud with all the rhyming phrases which never stop the story from moving along.

    10. This is such a fun book to read with children Lots of expression and characterisation to play with to draw and maintain the reader s attention The illustrations are bright and representative on a few different layers A great book for all ages.

    11. This book is so beautifully illustrated The bear meets the polar bear and learns sharing and kindness along the way from the bear What a great book I have not read any of the other books I got this one from the scholastic book club seesaw or firefly.

    12. Great book to read with small children Both my husband and I look forward to when they pick this book for bedtime story.

    13. I was very excited to share these with my niece and even excited to see she enjoyed them The rhyming keeps her interested along with the gorgeous illustrations.

    14. Slightly better than the itchy bear, but not as good as the original Bear finds a polar bear suffering from the heat and share their food to find a new home for the polar bear.

    15. These books are so delightful This one has to be my favourite though Beautifully illustrated and a lovely story.

    16. Again, beautiful illustrations from Nick Bland just like his other books and a funny rhyming story that my 3 year old loves So ofcourse we have been reading this every night for about 2 weeks now.

    17. Not as good as The Very Cranky Bear, but still very enjoyable and taught my girls the value of helping out friends The rhyming prose makes it so enjoyable to read and the girls love it

    18. A cute story with good messages about friendship and the environment The illustrations are very sweet and expressive.
