    1. currently reading, Author relies on Freud too much gives the picture of an incomplete and biased study However enlightening to prejudicial and bigoted view pervasively predominant through out most history of psychoanalytic field, still interwoven and underpinning many fallacies still prevalent today Story approach makes it of a commentary of personal reflection by the author s life work allowing for flexibility and forgiveness in research approach The study subjects chosen for segregation and [...]

    2. I thought this was going to be different than it turned out to be it s mostly case studies and anecdotes from Coles experiences working in the South during school integration in the 1960s as well as time he spent working with poor children in Brazil Interesting, but not really what I was looking for, which was of an overview and scientific analysis about morality in children than a sociological reflection.

    3. I had difficulty immersing myself in this book, because of the author s unnecessary name dropping I understand, without context, to mention that the author met Anna Freud personally, since she founded the study of child psychology However, I see no need to add, both in text, and in a specific endnote, that the author s wife was friends with the author Flannery O Connor.

    4. Great book and need to come back to it Just read the first few chapters as park of reading list about Civil Rights and the Children s Experience.
