    2. For any newcomers to the series, you must check out the first novel in this series, Come the Shadows The Campbell Creek Mysteries It will make the second novel even better. The story here is wonderful It begins with a stray thread here or there, but in the end, they are woven together beautifully and left me really wanting There is a shared focus between figuring out the crime and the relationships between the characters, and the balance is just right Even , the Southern small town culture has b [...]

    3. Wow This book had me begging for From the very beginning, the book is filled with suspense You don t want to miss reading the sequel to Come the Shadows With each page, you beg for More of Laura and Will, Ricky and Amanda, and most importantly, of what is ACTUALLY going on in Campbell Creek May contain spoilers if you haven t read the first book in the series from here on out The book begins with Laura Harmon as mayor and her husband, Will, as Sheriff Laura is in a hit and run and from then o [...]

    4. As with book 1, Come the Shadows, this book was easy to slide right in and feel right at home Red Sky Warning was then a continuation of a series, it was like the next chapter in my own families life I love the characters, adore the relationships they share and can relate to the good times and bad Ms Young does a wonderful job with her writing, keeping it smooth and descriptive without bogging it down Her storyline moves gracefully and all the loose ends get tied up in a nice neat bow at the en [...]

    5. When Laura Harmon ran for mayor she vowed to clean up the corruption that had shaken the quiet little town since a series of new developments had come to Campbell Creek. She is adjusting to the move away from being a stay at home mom of three young adult kids and one toddler Now she is a small town mayor She is trying to run a tight ship and no matter where she goes she hears about town issues, complaints and criticisms In this little town where everyone always knows everyone and everything that [...]

    6. Another winner from Wendy L YoungWendy L Young has written another winner with RED SKY WARNING, the second book in the Campbell Creek mysteries Will Harmon is now the sheriff of Campbell Creek and Laura is the mayor Both are finding in a challenge to adjust to their new roles Will s job as an administrator is a grind and Laura, in her new role as a working mom, can t go out without fielding questions and complaints, from potholes to parks A hit and run starts the roller coaster page turner, and [...]

    7. There is a new mystery in Campbell Creek Someone is trying to kill Laura and Will needs to find out who and why There is also a mysterious new neighbor who may or may not have something to do with it all It may also have something to do with the events of the year before Red Sky Warning is the sequel to Come the Shadows My thoughts are on here I liked this one than the first book I felt comfortable with the characters and felt like I got to know them a little I also felt like the pacing was b [...]

    8. I really liked this follow up to Come The Shadows The story took off right from the beginning, and I felt like I got to know the characters even better The only reason I didn t give it 4 stars was because I felt like the story dragged a little in the middle when the main characters were on the local news I got a little turned around here, but, again, that could have also been because I was reading it in sections, instead of all at once Great subplots with the mysterious neighbor and her jerk hus [...]

    9. I loved this book I would love to read the 3rd one This book picked up where the last one left off Will is now the town sheriff and Laura is the Mayor I love how Will was eager to find out who was threatening his wife yet, did it while upholding the law He did not let his connections let him break the law. This book left some questions though that I hope are answered in the 3rd book.I knew one early on that something was up with the next door neighbor I did not see details of that neighbor coming [...]

    10. I loved the way the story of Will and Laura continues in this sequel to Come The Shadows The new characters in this book add new interest too Don t people come and go in our real lives I enjoyed the way the author brings in new people to deepen the story Yes, she left us some mysteries at the end So I, for one, will be looking forward to the sequel to this book too.

    11. This the 2nd book in the series and once again I couldn t put it down She has made her characters so real that I am sad that there is only one book after this one She writes in a way that makes my want to keep reading because I have to know how it ends This is a great book and I know if you like mysteries that you will love this one

    12. Loved this book The inabitants of Campbell Creek seemed real to me, like small town folk really are This one ties up any questions left over from the first novel It s a page turner.

    13. Red Sky Warning by Wendy Young is the second novel in The Campbell Creek Mystery Series and does not disappoint Book 2 finds Will as town sheriff and Laura as mayor When Laura is involved in a hit and run that can only be deliberate the list of suspects is considerably long When mystery packages show up at the post office addressed to Laura and threatening letters show up in the mailbox the tension thickens.Meanwhile the house next store suddenly has occupants An abused woman and her creepy lawy [...]

    14. I must say that I liked this book much better than the first one The plot was much stronger and reading about Will and Laura again was like returning to old friends I do love this author s character development I think we could all learn from her Now I m looking forward to reading the third book I can see this author s growth from the first book to this one I m happy for her.
