The story takes place on the Turk Islands It is all about a boys journey to get the biggest bar of soap for his mom and bring it back to her He is distracted along the way there and on the way back he ends up giving away parts of the soap to different people By the time he reaches his mother, he only has a small bar of soap There are many comparisons in the book similes and metaphors.

    2. You can predict what s going to happen in this one I liked the unusual setting, Truk Island I haven t read a book by Carole Lexa Schaefer that I didn t like.
