    1. This is a great bookIt probably wont succeed in teaching you calculus, but it will remind you how it works.

    2. This book is great for a intro into complex ideas of Calculus, the explanation are detailed and easily understandable The examples included after each topic are great for understanding the knowledge in a deep level I read this book a week ago in five days, and just within those five days I went from knowing nothing to be fully ready to learn calculus However, I forgot a lot of skills in only a week, so it is really important to keep the book around and take notes while reading Partial knowledge [...]

    3. I love Larry Gonick s books, and I got this because I refuse to let higher math beat me Then I realized I need to re learn Algebra and got the Cartoon Guide to Algebra I read the introductory chapter of the Calculus guide and realized I didn t understand half of what it was talking about, and I dislike feeling stupid I shall conquer math Eventually.

    4. To be quite honest, although I understand the first half of the book about sine cosine functions and 3rd degree functions, towards the second half, I could not understand the book properly because the calculus was difficult to understand SO, although I can t evaluate this book completely, I think it was difficult for me.

    5. Not rigorous but definitely helpful I learn visually The graphical approach helped me understand much better some of the concepts within calculus I read a library copy, and I am buying one of my own for future reference.

    6. Probably closer to 2 and a half stars I wasn t convinced that the drawings or how it was presented made calculus any easier to understand I think I prefer how is was presented in my boring math books that didn t have pictures.

    7. Probably the best textbook I ve ever read An entertaining and effective way to explain calculus A great refresher crash course on derivatives and integrals Funny too

    8. Way oversimplified, but succeeds in reducing fear and explaining general concepts for some readers who already prefer the cartoon format.
